Baby Cole at 3 months old

Our First Blog

Welcome to our blog site. As many of you know, our baby boy Cole Michael Ouimette was born 6-6-06. The first three (colic-ridden) months were quite a ride. We were lucky enough that Mike could take 5 weeks off of work to help Kimi with the little one. Thankfully Kimi's mom Stephanie was around to help every week, and Mike's mom Patty helped a couple weeks too.
Now that we're in the fourth month, things have gotten a lot easier, with more sleep for all, more smiles from Cole and less screaming (thank God)! We would like to give a special shout out to the following for making our first three months survivable: the swing, Grandparents' arms to hold the baby, the infant seat, the car, white noise (static on the radio, wave noise, babbling brook noises recorded by Daddy), the Amazing Miracle Blanket swaddle, the pacifier and, of course, the bouncy ball.

The baby has already been to several fun places including Yia Yia (Stephanie)'s house in Santa Rosa where he visited Opa (Bob), Uncle Sky, Aunt Erin, and Great Uncle Greg. We've also had fun bringing manic Cole in to visit Grampa Tim at work. The baby has been to the ocean in Bodega Bay, to his Uncle Sky and Aunt Erin's wedding, as well as the wedding of our friends, and to the annual Lafayette Art and Wine Festival. The baby also had fun seeing his great Yia Yia Mary and great grampa Lester, as well as visiting Great Gramma Elaine in her new home. Needless to say, we look forward to the many adventures in store for us in the future.
